01 / BUILD AN AUTOMATIC ROUTINE

Set it up.
Let Replicaro take over.

Choose the source folder you want to back up (all files & subfolders in the folder are automatically included), select the destination vaults the backups should go in, and set a schedule. Replicaro brings it together in one job, so you do not have to remember every backup yourself.

  • Use simple schedules or more specific intervals.
  • Send the same job to one vault or several.
  • Select how many file versions you want to keep.
  • Leave unwanted files and folders out with exclusions.

KEEP THE HISTORY THAT MATTERS

A backup history
that fits your storage.

Get as funky as you like with backup history. Keep a certain number of recent backups, or use hourly, daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly tiers to shape a longer history. You can also keep everything when that suits your needs.

Compression helps reduce the amount of storage space your backups use in vaults, allowing you to keep a longer history if you wish to do so. Data deduplication avoids storing repeated data unnecessarily within a vault, so each backup does not have to start from scratch.

02 / FIND YOUR WAY BACK

The file you need.
The version you want.

An accidental edit should not mean hunting through backup after backup to find the version you want. Use Replicaro's File History to quickly find files or folders, review the versions of that file/folder available in your vault, and choose the one you want restored.

03 / RECOVER WHAT MATTERS

One file.
A folder.
A whole backup.

Recover a document you saved over, a folder you removed, a photo you lost, or the files from an entire backup.

Want to look first without actually restoring? Replicaro does that, too.

04 / KEEP CONTROL

Your files.
Your storage.
One or more copies.

Keep backups on an external drive, a network location, or your chosen cloud service. A vault is the home for your backups—and you decide where it lives.

Combine local and cloud vaults in one job for copies in different places. Manage jobs and vaults together, and see how each destination is doing.

Have an existing Restic or Kopia repository? Connect it in Replicaro to browse and restore the data already there and to start backing up new snapshots into it.

05 / ADD PROTECTION

Private backups.
Practical safeguards.

Keep your backup contents encrypted, check the data you rely on, and use additional protections where your storage supports them.

Encryption is included

Vaults always use encryption. You pick the password. Replicaro applies the encryption.

Keep your vault password safe: it is needed when connecting to a vault and recovering your data. Passwords cannot be reset or recovered.

Check your backups

Run automatic integrity checks and review their results. These checks catch any data corruption before the time arrives that you need your backups in an emergency.

Ransomware & accidental deletion protection

Replicaro supports object locking on Amazon AWS, any S3-compatible object storage that supports object locking, Azure Blob Storage, and Google Cloud Storage.

Object locking support must be enabled at the cloud storage bucket and then be enabled the first time you create a Replicaro vault.

06 / STAY INFORMED

Know when something
needs your attention.

See queued and active work, follow progress, and review completed results and logs. Choose notifications for failures or successes so you can keep up without watching the dashboard all day.

07 / MAKE IT YOURS

Comfortable on your screen.
Useful beyond it.

Choose Dark, Light, or Neutral themes. Replicaro keeps everyday controls within reach while leaving room for more advanced workflows.

Back up more than your laptop

Protect files on laptops, desktops, servers, attached drives, self-hosting, and accessible network folders. Use Replicaro on Windows, Mac, Linux, or in Docker.

Bring another computer along

Connect multiple computers to one Replicaro vault, each with its own backup jobs. Dropbox, Google Drive, and OneDrive allow multiple vaults per account but one computer per vault.

Reconnect when you need to recover

Encrypted recovery information in your vault helps you recover backup job settings after moving to another computer. Keep your vault password safe; you need it to any time you want to reconnect. Only you know your password; it cannot be reset or recovered if forgotten.

Keep an eye on capacity

See job and vault sizes alongside your backup activity. Plan your storage around the data and history you want to keep.

Work around disconnected storage

Replicaro defers backups when removable drives and network locations become unavailable. Eligible backups automatically resumes when the storage returns.

Room for advanced workflows

Optional performance controls and before- or after-backup scripts are there if you need them.
